With just days left for the release of his upcoming film Kaantha, Dulquer Salmaan has opened up about the movies that have stayed closest to his heart. In a recent conversation, the actor shared his top five favourite films — and interestingly, there’s only one Indian title on the list.
It’s none other than Shah Rukh Khan’s evergreen romantic classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).
DDLJ finds a special place in Dulquer Salmaan’s heart
During his chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, Dulquer spoke about the films he loves revisiting. He mentioned Good Will Hunting first, followed by A Good Year. He admitted that the second one isn’t considered a great film by many, but it’s something he would love to experience in real life — especially the dreamy vineyard lifestyle portrayed in it.
Next on his list was Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which he described as the one film he can watch any number of times, no matter what mood he’s in. Rounding off his list were the action classic Heat and the romantic drama About Time.
Except for DDLJ, all the other films mentioned by Dulquer are from Hollywood — making his love for the SRK–Kajol starrer stand out even more.
